nikiihom asked: approximately how much would it cost to get tat'd? is it the cost of the ink? or how big it is?
Hiya!
At LFDY the minimum charge for a tattoo is $60 which is the basic for turning a profit (remember it’s a business!) and set up/materials. Otherwise it is based on a per hour charge. I think most charge $150/hr. You can find a cheaper rate (and plenty of higher ones), but our artists are very talented and do great custom work, as in they’ll take your ideas and create them into gorgeous pieces vs. choosing something from a flash sheet on the wall.
The process usually starts with a call into the shop ((612) 789-5339) to schedule a half-hour consultation. You can request an artist or mention what you’re thinking of getting and we will direct you to the person most fitting for your idea (Japanese, tribal, traditional etc) After that meeting you leave a deposit that reserves your appointment time and is applied to the total cost of your tattoo. Sometimes a quick drawing review appointment is set up too if it’s a very elaborate piece!
I know you didn’t ask for all that info but I figured I’d just cover it all!
